A Verse I Love
| Faith |

“And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart,” (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT)
God really does put a new heart and a new spirit in us when we give ourselves to him. I didn't really realize it until I read it this morning as I was picking my next verse to write about. For me, it was when I was baptized. I left my old self, my old heart, my sin in the water. I felt it leave my body. I came out of that water a new person and I have never looked back.
My heart is now obedient. That is not to say I'm perfect, for if you know me at all you know that I am not perfect. But I no longer do wrong for the sake of doing wrong. I really do try to live my life the way I am supposed to, and I do it with a glad heart. I am not forced or manipulated into having a servant heart, it is just there and for that I am so thankful.
