Rob and I did a one-hour praise and worship "show" in Second Life last night. If you don't know what Second Life (SL) is, it's really hard to explain. It's basically an online "world" that has different areas, or Sims. It's just as screwed up as real life, actually. But, the point is, in the middle of this place, there are christian sims where people gather to talk, sing, dance, learn, preach. There are churches there and bible studies and places like Eternal Creations, where we sang last night. I know it sounds corny and that's ok. But Rob and I had a great time. It took a lot of work to pull it off, especially with just the two of us. We had 4 computers going and the sound system. hehe... right up Rob's alley. So, these are the kinds of things we'll be doing this summer. Singing online, converting my book into audio tracks, writing, writing, writing, a little desiging. It's going to be a very creative summer.

Things are a' changin around here. We're moving rooms around in the house. I now have my own office and that makes me so happy. I have a place I can go and write, think, work, chill...it's awesome and I love my hubby for letting me have this. He's had his own office area for some time and I think he knows how much it means to me to have a place to go that is mine.
It's a time of adjustment here. We're all learning how to get along differently. It takes some getting used to; but in the end it will all work out. We continue to pray daily for everyone in our family. We've been through a lot lately. I thought last year was the worst year ever; this year has not gotten off to a better start, I am sad to report. It's been difficult; let's just leave it at that.
Time to go write...and clean....

I've committed to writing more in my blog. Sure, I post my devotions online, but I seem to have gotten away from just regular blogging. I intend to change that. I love to blog. It helps me put my feelings and emotions in check when I write them down and organize them into sentences and paragraphs. It helps me sort things out.
So, stop by, pull up a chair and get a cup of coffee.

Not long ago, an old high school friend found me on Facebook. Turns out he lives just three hours from me right here in sunny Florida. What's even more is that he is in media/filming/production/etc.... He asked me to begin a short story screenplay. welp....(gulp)...I sent him the first very rough draft tonight. Granted, not all the scenes are in it, it's merely more than an outline.....but I wrote my first screenplay....and that there is just plain cool! The next step is to see if it gets the green light to go forward. The title at the moment is Tea with Becky. So, an already busy schedule is now busier...but we'll find room and balance for it all. My family is behind me and that's all that matters.

Why is it that we are so relieved to get back to the routine we had before the holidays? Isn't it the very same routine that we begged the Christmas holiday time to rescue us from? Are we such creatures of habit that we'd prefer the daily grind to the spontaneousness of the holidays?
YES.
I am so relieved to get back to what we call "normal" I can hardly stand it. I am actually looking forward to working a full 5-day work week. Even though our "normal" is more crazy and hectic than most, I still prefer it.
I think it's because I can plan and organize better with structure. I know deep down, TJ prefers to know what is happening each day rather than the up-in-the-air, whateverness of December. Our regular lives have us going somewhere almost every night, whether it be the gym (I CANT WAIT TO GET BACK TO THE GYM), or church, or rehearsals....it's what we do.
So, bring it on January.....at least I am glad to see you.
