Everyday Life

It's officially December and I'm starting to feel the pull of the stresses that the holidays can bring.  I'm beginning to notice that I have a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it in.  I'm busy at work, yet I just realize I have 6 vacation days yet to take.  What to do...what to do...

I'll tell you what to do....I'm taking my vacation days...at least 4 of the 6.  I'm going to try very hard not to let this month get the best of me.  We've already acertained that this is going to be a lean Christmas and the kids are OK with it (at least I hope they are).  There just isn't the same amount of expendible money there usually is this time of year.  Add to that, I refuse to become a slave to the Christmas present bills.  It's just not in me this year.

By this time of year, my tree is usually up.  Normally, I'll rush around and kill myself trying to get everything done "on time" (whatever that is).  Although I am getting some flack from the kids this year, I'm not going to make myself crazy trying to clutter up my house with santas, snowmen and snowflakes.  It's just not gonna happen.

At some point in the very near future, I will begin to gather my thoughts for what I want out of the coming year.  What do I want to learn? What do I want to accomplish?  Where will my focus be?
