Fay Fay Go Away

We are in day three of the siege of Tropical Storm Fay. The funny thing is, where we are in Northern Volusia County has yet to see any severe weather. Even so, schools are closed for the third day and all this tension is wearing on me. My office has not closed, so I have been trudging along, trying to get to the end of each day so I can go be with my family. It's funny how even though it has not proved to be damaging yet, I still want to be home with my husband and kids in case it does worsen.

Some parts of Brevard County are under more than a foot of water. I can relate to a foot of snow from my younger days "up north" but not a foot of water. I've heard of people kayaking down the street and although I want to laugh, I don't because I know houses are irreparably damaged today. I know this is someone's worst nightmare.

Please be in prayer for all who are affected. We all need it.
