Well, I'm officially funded for Haiti and now I've started purchasing the items I need while I'm there. Yesterday, I bought my luggage at the flea market. You gotta love the flea market. $30 for a large suitcase and a backpack. Not bad. I have a tent in the attic I can use. I've contacted a Facebook friend about Avon's Skin So Soft and if it works, I'll have to buy lots and lots of that I'm wondering if it's too early to start packing?? hehe
For Mother's Day, Rob and TJ bought me this teeny tiny laptop so I can write while I'm in Haiti. The Fibromyalgia affects my muscles, so it's very hard for me to write for long periods of time by hand. It's so small, it's only about twice the size of a Nintendo DS. It's really neat.
I still need to buy a few skirts and tops, a dress, a whole boat load of Water Babies sunscreen and all the other little things I need to get by for two weeks. Buying the luggage made this all finally seem real to me. It's funny; it wasn't the passport or the fund raising or anything else – it was the luggage. Eek!
I'm excited.
