We're singing a new song this weekend, "Whatever Your Doing" by Sanctus
Real. It's a song that has really hit me hard this week, the week I released my
first book.
whatever your doing inside of me
it feels like chaos but i believe
you're up to something bigger than me
so i'm giving into something heavenly
If you've ever been pushed outside of your comfort zone for the sake of the
Kingdom, these words probably ring true in your life too. It would have been
so much easier for me not to publish this book. Putting all my thoughts, fears
and hopes onto paper for all to see is not as easy as one may think. Answering
the questions, taking the criticism, leaving my heart exposed are all things
I could do without.
But I know that these words help people. I've read your comments, I've heard
your stories. You've told me how these devotions touch you and change you and
make you think. It's bigger than me and He is using me to help you.
That makes it all worth it.
I understand that some people are mad because they did not receive the first
book. I apologize for putting you in that predicament, but I was taken, just
as you were. I lost just as you did. If I could afford to send the book out
free to everyone who didn't get the first book, I would. What I did instead
was drastically reduce the price. The book should cost $16.95, but it's available
on my website for only $10. It's not about the money. It's about reaching people,
helping people. If I gave the book away, I'd have nothing left to buy more.
I can only hope and pray you understand.

The book will be ready in about a week. It will only cost $10 if you buy the book from me, $16.95 if you purchase it directly from the printer. The title is Remnants. It's a collection of devotions for when we're broken. God has been breaking me over and over and I've realized that we are all broken, one way or another.
So, as we come into this homestretch, I'd like to thank you for being with me through the entire ordeal. It's been a long, hard road.

OK, so we went the self-publishing route, but that's ok. I'm not in this for the fame and fortune. All I want is to get my work out there because from the responses I get, I know my work affects people. Nothing makes me happier than to hear that I made someone think or I helped someone change their thinking or I eased someone's pain. These are the things that matter to me.
I'll be posting more info shortly. It'll be a few weeks before the book is available. I just registered for the ISBN number and once I get it, it has to be added to two parts of the book. So, bear with me just a little bit longer. I'm so excited.....are you?
